Caramelized French Onion Soup - Who said you can only get a goof French Onion soup when out to dinner??? Well here it is! Enjoy this rich onion soup in the comfort of your own home. For a vegetarian recipe use vegetable broth instead of beef. Want to jazz it up a bit?... Can be done by simply using a variety of onion instead of just one type. For a more hearty soup add shredded beef for a Beefy Onion soup. Caramelized French Onion Soup: 6.7 large sweet onions, thinly sliced. Cook on low heat in 3 TBSP of olive oil & 1 TBSP sugar. Cover & stir occasionally. Add more olive oil only if needed After 15-20 mins. remove lid & cook until onions caramelize & turns brown. Add 5C beef broth, all spices, simmer on low 30+ mins Garnish with croutons & Parmesan or Swiss cheese. NO SALT in this recipe Spices are Gluten Free and Non Perishable * Aimee's recipes make a large amount.
